Downed trees, power outages impacting South Ga. amid tornado watch

RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Trees fell into a roadway in Randolph County during the severe storms on May 10.

The downed tree is blocking Hood and Cedar Street in Cuthbert, according to the Randolph County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director Marlon Coleman. The streets are residential.

Coleman said crews are working to clear these roads, and he expects that they will reopen by approximately 7 p.m.

No other damages or road closures have been reported to the Randolph EMA at this time, according to Coleman.

Coleman also reported that about 70 customers are without power in the Shellman area.
